  • Tereza Vernerová Volná

    Tereza Vernerová Volná has focused her curatorial, publishing, and teaching activities on design, applied arts, and contemporary art. She is a founding member and curator of the jewellers’ association Unosto and has worked with them on exhibitions of authorial jewellery in the Czech Republic and abroad. For the project Design & Prosperita she worked on mapping the impact of design on the economic output of manufacturers. Since 2022, she has been a participant in the international project CRAFT: Activating Pedagogy for Ceramic Education Futures. She studied product design at the University of West Bohemia in Plzeň and Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem and holds a master’s degree in history and theory of design and new media from UMPRUM (with a thesis on Czech precious and costume jewellery in the period 1938−1950). Currently, she is a PhD candidate at the Department of Theory and History of Art at UMPRUM, focusing on research into university insignia and the visuality of academic rituals.
